TAK THAI




Spurts of inspiration and enthusiasm brought us to Cuzco under the name Kao in 2020. We made our culinary offering—a fusion of Peruvian and Thai cuisines—a well-established concept in the city. Our flavors made their way into countless palates, but we felt that something was missing. So, in our quest to immerse ourselves more deeply in the region's products, we reinvented ourselves as Tak Thai, a symbol of our gratitude to a land that allows us to continue growing.

CHEF KENT ZUÑIGA

A chef from Arequipa with roots in Maje and Tacna, he has experience in restaurants—several of which have been awarded Michelin stars in different countries such as Italy, the United States, and Spain. 

He has used the knowledge and techniques acquired from his travels in Southeast Asia, his commitment to Andean and regional ingredients and their producers, his love for local Cusco cuisine, and his passion for the culinary arts to create a signature style that we see today in Thak Thai's cuisine. This signature style is reflected in every detail, flavor, and presentation of a menu that has been reborn under the signature of Kent, its creator.
